"Live Curiously!" Has Long Been Our Life's Motto.
Never stop learning, never stop exploring, never stop discovering!
A Little About Us...
My Wife, Karina, and I love exploring the outdoors and the many other activities California has to offer! We are grateful every day that we get to live in this wonderful place!
We typically hike, bike or kayak at least once a week (weather permitting). We also enjoy visiting botanic gardens, museums, and historical sites.
We love food of all kinds! We are always on the lookout for new and interesting restaurants. But, we also love cooking together at home. Our adult children share this love, and we are constantly sharing recipes with each other.
The Cold War Era
At 21, I found myself as an undercover operative in what was then West Germany. I was an Army interrogator, trained by the Israeli Mossad in interrogation and lie detection. I spoke German with native fluency, as well as French, Spanish, Russian and Italian (in order of fluency). The majority of my service time was spent assigned to a refugee camp in Giessen, Germany. My job was to debrief defectors and political prisoners from East Bloc countries for intelligence information. I discovered new underground missile bases, secret military units, and political unrest. In 1987, I wrote a report predicting the fall of East Germany, and the potential reunification of Germany.
I received the Army Commendation Medal for Debriefing 23,000 refugees in my last 9 months alone!
Most Importantly, I met my wife in Germany!
I’m proud to be a veteran, and make it my strongest goal to honor my fellow veterans by giving back to them in every way I can!
Experience and Education
I spent most of my career after the military in Management Level of Local Government. I’ve been very fortunate to have had a varied and exciting career. See my LinkedIn page for details.
In 2014, I decided I wanted to start a new career as an entrepreneur in Real Estate. I retired from Government and hung my license with Coldwell Banker Town and Country.
I earned my college degrees in three stages. All while working full-time and supporting a family!
- I have an AA in Communications (Public Relations/Advertising). This background helps me to understand and design the marketing campaigns I use to sell your home.
- I have a BA in Business and Organizational Leadership. This helps me manage my business well, and lead my team of agents and brokers.
- I have an MA in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. This helps me negotiate the best deal for my clients!
As an Army Veteran, It has always been important to me to support our Military Members and Veterans in any way possible. We regularly give to the Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) shown here.
On a recent visit to the US Vets housing facility in Moreno Valley, I discovered that they had a pressing need for a new transportation van to shuttle their Veterans to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other necessary trips. However, most of their current funding was dedicated to building new facilities.
I decided that the best way to help would be to start a charity dedicated to procuring transportation vehicles for VSOs. Thus the “Veteran Van Project, Inc.” was created.
For every home sale from a referral, I will donate 10% of my net commission to this non-profit. The more referrals we receive, the more vans we can purchase for the various organizations. (If you prefer, we’ll make a donation to the charity of your choice for your referral.)
Additionally, if you are a Military Member or Veteran yourself, you may be eligible to receive up to $2500 cash back through our “Military Honors” program.
